Kristen Stewart on Marie Claire US Cover

Kristen Stewart is on the August 2015 issue of Marie Claire US. She talks about many things, including her career, and her public image. Check out the behind-the-scenes video above, and go to Marie Claire's website for photos and snippets from the cover story.

On the best advice she's received: "Patti Smith told me to always take care of my teeth and lungs."

On her success at a young age: "Between ages 15 and 20, it was really intense. I was constantly anxious. I was kind of a control freak. If I didn't know how something was going to turn out, I would make myself ill, or just be locked up or inhibited in a way that was really debilitating."

Kristen on cover of Glamour UK December 2011

The Lady is a VAMP

Kristen Stewart doesn't so much greet me as collide with me, when I pitch up at her temporary West London pad for GLAMOUR's cover interview. I've arrived a few minutes early, and a clumsy moment ensues when she opens the door before I have a chance to knock, and we find ourselves face to face on the doorstep. She was just on the way to the shop, she explains, as we exchange apologies, and if I want to go straight up, she'll be back in a minute.

I'm already surprised that I've been invited to the apartment she's living in while filming Snow White and The Hunsman in London (rare in celeb-land), so it's even more astonishing when I get upstairs and discover it's going to be just the two of us --with no publicist to keep an eagle eye on the time or shut down any thorny questions. But over the next hour, we laugh a lot, as Kristen proves to be funny, sweary, self-deprecating and open to being asked anything. Whether she answers, of course, is a different matter, but this is one actress who can easily handle that herself.

Kristen Stewart in Vogue Italia, November 2011

Here's the Vogue Italia content I missed! 'Tis a beautiful photoshoot Kristen did for the magazine from November 2011, along with an article. The photos were shot by Michelangelo Di Battista.

I wonder how many people out there would love to be in my shoes today as I ring the bell of Kristen Stewart’s London flat. For all twenty-somethings, but not only, she is almost a legend. The Twilight saga that gave her global fame caused the overlapping of the character with the actress.

We know just about everything about her: she started acting at a very young age («Both my parents worked in TV and cinema, they would take me to work with them, and I would see people of all ages acting, also children: I knew immediately I wanted to do that»), she is rather private, not too public, and is likely to choose a good book over a party. What we maybe still don’t know is that on set she loves to play jokes on the film crew («There’s a lot of free time and I have to enjoy myself somehow!»), and that if she could be teleported like Captain Kirk  from the Enterprise, she would travel back in time: «Around 1948, 1950, to listen to jazz, blues and the bebop of the beat generation.»

Kristen on GLAMOUR November 2011 cover

Kristen graces the cover of Glamour's November 2011 issue. She looks fabulous, although it's not recommended to walk in the autumn chill wearing a tank top like that ;)

Kristen Stewart on Vogue US February cover

Kristen Stewart is the featured cover story in the February issue of Vogue US!   Check out the scans from that issue.

Kristen Stewart’s body can tell a million stories. Kinetic, she jiggles, feints, and darts as she talks, hanging back, looking off to the side, signaling resistance, a combinative intelligence. “The word I always use for her is vulpine.” says Jack Scott, who recently directed her in Welcome to the Rileys, in which she plays a teenage runaway and lap dancer. “Foxlike. She’s got that way of moving and being that you often find in her performances, a sort of wiliness.”

Kristen in FLAUNT Magazine

Kristen in ELLE

Kristen will be featured on the June cover of ELLE Magazine, and ELLE released exclusive photos from the photoshoot!

On the madness that has become her life: “It’s insane! Once somebody finds out, you have to get the hell out of wherever you are. People freak out. And the photographers, they’re vicious. They’re mean. They’re like thugs. I don’t event want to drive around by myself anymore. It’s fucking dangerous.”

On her loss of privacy: “Somebody knocked on my hotel room door and asked for a light, then said that they were a big fan. I was like, ‘Do you really need me to light your cigarette? How do you know what room I’m in?’ I can’t be by myself and I like being by myself.”

On criticism of her public manner: “I think it’s funny that when I go onstage to accept an award, they think I’m nervous, uncomfortable, and awkward—and I am—but those are bad words for them.”

On her red-carpet demeanor: “People say that I’m miserable all the time. It’s not that I’m miserable, it’s just that somebody’s yelling at me…I literally, sometimes, have to keep myself from crying…It’s a physical reaction to the energy that’s thrown at you.”

On caring: “I hate it when they say I don’t give a shit, because nobody cares more than I do. I’m telling you I don’t know anybody who does this that gives a shit more than I do.”

On Team Edward vs. Team Jacob: “I would never cheapen my relationships by talking about them. People say, ‘Just say who you’re dating. Then people will stop being so ravenous about it.’ It’s like, No they won’t! They’ll ask for specifics.”
