Kristen Stewart at the 2013 Met Gala

Kristen Stewart was in attendance at the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala, a.k.a. 2013 Met Gala. The gala's theme for this year is 'PUNK: Chaos to Couture'. Kristen wore a bordeaux-coloured Stella McCartney jumpsuit to the gala, which I guess looks punk enough.

She was spotted with Tom Sturridge and Sienna Miller. There was a funny moment as well, when Katy Perry came by Kristen.

Kristen's stylist, Tara Swennen commented on the dress selection:

“When we looked over the sketches via e-mail we all thought the jumpsuit was the one off the bat. It was so perfect for her,” Tara says.”We thought it would be cool to let her be in her element in the jumpsuit. We had a fitting via Skype. We were at Kristen’s house and Stella was on the phone and we had a tailor come in. Having Stella there for her input was great.” While Kristen has walked the red carpet at the Met Gala in the past, this was the first time she attended with a female designer. “I really love the idea that she’s never gone to the Met Ball with a woman,” Tara says. “They met in London and they have a great relationship.” “She was definitely in her element last night. Something like punk is much easier to relate to and Kristen definitely fits the asthetic,” Tara tells us of the star’s silk embroidered jumpsuit.
